Peak Period Rates
A flat $9 per night surcharge applies during peak periods. Peak periods include Anniversary weekend, Waitangi weekend, Easter weekend, ANZAC Day/weekend, King's Birthday weekend, Matariki, Labour weekend, 18 December until 8 February, and all school holidays. A deposit of 30% of the total invoice is required for bookings over peak periods.

Meet the Owners
Hi, I’m Reade, and I co-own Pets In The City Mt Wellington with my wife, Olivia.
I grew up around dogs, so I’ve always appreciated the love, personality, and entertainment they bring into a home.
With a background in business management, I’m usually working behind the scenes making sure everything runs smoothly and that both dogs and their owners have a great experience with us. Having the opportunity to combine my professional background with my love for dogs is something I’m very grateful for.
We know how much trust it takes to leave your dog with someone else, and that’s something we take seriously. For me, it’s all about helping create a place that feels safe, welcoming, and fun for every dog that comes through our doors.
Hi! I’m Olivia, the proud owner of Pets In The City Mt Wellington alongside my husband, Reade.
I’ve had a love for animals for as long as I can remember, growing up surrounded by family pets, including two dogs who were always a big part of our family. Reade and I now have a rescue dog of our own who is a like a brother to our two kids.
I went on to become a mental health nurse, where care, patience, and understanding were at the heart of everything I did. When the opportunity came up for Reade and I to take over Pets In The City Mt Wellington, it truly felt like the perfect fit. It allowed me to combine my nursing background with my passion for animals, ensuring we provide thoughtful, attentive, and high-quality care for every pup who comes through our doors.
We never take for granted the trust owners place in us to care for their dogs—whether they’re here for a fun day of play or an overnight hotel stay. Reade and I, alongside our incredible team, are committed to creating a space where dogs feel safe, comfortable, and genuinely excited to come back each time.

Hi, I’m Mimmi, the Manager at Pets in the City Mt Wellington. I was born and raised in Sweden and have always had a deep love for animals, especially dogs. I started my career in animal care at a doggy daycare before becoming a primary school teacher. After moving to New Zealand, I found my way back to working with dogs. It felt like a natural fit and something I could confidently step into, even while adjusting to a new country and language. Being surrounded by dogs again reminded me just how much I love this work. As the manager of the Mt Wellington branch, I oversee the day-to-day operations and support our amazing team. I genuinely love meeting all our furry friends each day, and I’m incredibly grateful for the trust our clients place in us when they leave their beloved pets in our care.
