A note from Hayden.
Hayden Brain
Co-Owner, Albert - Eden
Hi! I’m Hayden, and I share my home with Luca and Kahurangi, my Labrador and Border Collie. These boys mean everything to me and deserve all the attention I can give them. I wanted a place I’d leave them without a second thought, and that’s what I’ve built.
I’ve spent my career in roles where safety, compliance and accountability came first, and where I answered personally for the result. I bring the same approach here: every dog in our care is my responsibility. Day to day, your dog is looked after by a team I trust completely. They’re trained in force-free handling and led by a branch manager who really knows dogs. They’re the reason I’m confident your dog will have a safe, settled and happy day with us.
Even though our branch is brand new, we’re already working towards SPCA Certification, the independent animal welfare standard currently held by three other Pets In The City centres. We do this solely for the dog’s welfare and welcome the regular independent audits to ensure our facility is a safe haven for our four-legged friends.
I know what it means to be trusted with someone’s dog. Come in, meet the team, and see for yourself.

Competition terms Read all terms
- 01One prize total: one 10-day daycare Concession Pass. One correct eligible entrant wins. If multiple eligible entrants guess correctly, a lucky draw among those entries selects one winner for that single prize.
- 02If nobody guesses correctly, a lucky draw from all eligible entries selects one winner. If there are no eligible entries, no draw can take place.
- 03Entries close immediately before we announce the opening date, which may happen at any time, or when the branch opens, whichever comes first. The announcement closes this competition permanently. The guess-date range is not an entry window.
- 04Anyone can enter. One entry per email address, ignoring surrounding spaces and letter case. The first valid entry is retained and cannot be changed by submitting again. Duplicate entries and spam are not eligible.
- 05The winning dog must pass our standard daycare assessments and meet our standard daycare admission requirements before using the pass. The prize cannot be exchanged for cash or a different prize.
- 06Choose one Auckland calendar date from 15 November to 31 December 2026 inclusive. These dates are guesses only, not an announcement of when Albert - Eden will open.
- 07Your details are used to administer this competition and contact the winner. Entering does not subscribe you to opening updates, general marketing or Kurī Club, and does not enter the K9 Paw Minister competition.
