Peak Period Rates
A flat $9 per night surcharge applies during peak periods. Peak periods include Anniversary weekend, Waitangi weekend, Easter weekend, ANZAC Day/weekend, King's Birthday weekend, Matariki, Labour weekend, 18 December until 8 February, and all school holidays. A deposit of 30% of the total invoice is required for bookings over peak periods.

Meet the Owners
Silverdale was Layamon and I’s very first business, and from the beginning, it was far more than just a business venture. When we opened the doors in September 2020, our vision was to create something genuinely special for local dog owners on the Hibiscus Coast: a place built on trust, professionalism, and an exceptional standard of care.
What started as an empty building and a big dream has grown into one of the most recognised and loved dog daycare and pet hotel facilities in the region; something we’re incredibly proud of.
From day one, we’ve poured ourselves into building a safe, structured, and enriching environment for dogs, while creating a team culture centred around kindness, professionalism, and genuine care for every guest who walks through our doors.
For us, Silverdale has always been about more than daycare or boarding. It’s about being part of the local dog community — supporting owners through every stage of their dog’s journey and giving people peace of mind that when they can’t be there themselves, their dog is somewhere safe, trusted, and genuinely loved.
To this day, building Pets In The City Silverdale remains one of the most rewarding things we’ve ever done, and we feel incredibly grateful to serve the Hibiscus Coast community every single day.
For us, this isn’t just a business. It’s personal. It’s purpose-driven. And it’s built on one belief: dogs deserve the very best of us, every single day.

Hi, I’m Claire and I’ve been part of the Silverdale PITC team since 2024. You’ll usually find me at the front, working alongside our amazing team to welcome our furry guests into their fun play park adventures. I’ve always had a love for animals of all shapes and sizes, especially dogs! Before joining the team, I ran my own successful dog grooming business, so it means a lot to me that I can still spend my days caring for and connecting with dogs and their humans. I feel incredibly grateful to be part of such a wonderful company that shares the same caring values I do, and I love being able to make every visit a positive and happy experience for both our four-legged clients and their owners.

Hi, I’m Anya. I began my journey at PITC Silverdale in February 2023 and, after a short break in 2024, was delighted to return to the PITC team. I’ve always had a strong passion for animals, especially dogs, and I find it incredibly rewarding to be part of their journey. I love watching each dog grow in confidence, whether they join us as tiny puppies or as part of the older crew. The highlight of my day is spending time with the dogs, whether that’s enjoying cuddles, getting involved in playtime, or keeping up with their big personalities. No two days are ever the same, and I wouldn’t have it any other way.

Hi, i’m Jema. And I simply love dogs! I’ve always had dogs as pets and even had the opportunity to foster an Aviation Security Explosives puppy when I was younger. I’ve been at PITC for just over 2 and a half years, starting off as a caregiver and now as one of the senior caregivers. Every day is fun filled and exciting with all our cheeky little characters keeping me on my toes. There’s no better feeling than building a special bond with a new dog or puppy. Being able to help love and support them as they grow and learn new things in their big scary world!

My favourite part of working at PITC is seeing how excited the dogs are to come in every morning and how equally excited they are in the afternoon to see their parents again.
