Pets In The City was founded in Auckland in 2006. Pet lovers started it because they felt Auckland dogs and cats deserved better. We began with one small centre. We now run 5 centres across the city and are one of New Zealand's most trusted pet care brands.
From One Centre to Five
We opened our first centre in Parnell in 2006 because our founders believed Auckland dogs and cats deserved a better, kinder kind of care — one built on force-free principles from day one.
We opened each new centre because Auckland pet parents asked for one closer to them. Today we serve Parnell, Mt Wellington, Silverdale, Wairau Park and Westgate. Each centre is purpose-built for dog daycare, hotel boarding and grooming.
Many of our pet parents have been with us for over 10 years. They bring us new generations of dogs and cats. Our staff stay with us a long time too — most have been part of the PITC family for years.
